Kush Sharma is an award-winning leader and executive with over 20 years of private and public sector experience across six industries. He is an active member of the cyber community, was named Global Enterprise CIO of 2020 related to digital architecture innovation and has led teams through breach response first-hand. Kush has a strong reputation as a trusted advisor known for innovation, partnerships, and service delivery. He also has broader leadership experience leading technology, change management and digital transformation teams.
Kush served as the inaugural executive selected by the City of Toronto and Saputo to establish their cyber organizations and teams. As a Management Consultant with Accenture and Deloitte, he was an advisor for organizations from the Fortune 500, to SMEs, to all three levels of government.
Kush also has experience leading and managing the cyber components of 20+ Digital Transformation programs over his career. These ranged from 2-10 years in length with investments between 20M-1B. He has worked with diverse teams both onshore and offshore spanning multiple continents/countries within a 24/7 operating model.
Bob Gordon is the Strategic Advisor at the Canadian Cyber Threat Exchange (CCTX). The CCTX is Canada’s private sector organization for the sharing and analysis of cyber threat information and enabling collaboration across all sectors. Most recently, Bob was the Executive Director of the CCTX. Prior to this, he was a Director, Global Cyber Security at CGI. Bob also enjoyed a long and successful career in the Federal Government, that included being the architect of Canada’s first Cyber Security Strategy for which he received the Deputy Minister’s Achievement Award.
Bob has had a unique career in a number of Canada’s security, intelligence and law enforcement organizations: Public Safety Canada, Communications Security Establishment, Canadian Security Intelligence Service, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. He held senior executive positions, including at the Senior Assistant Deputy Minister level. He was responsible for science and technology, information management/information technology, and internal security programs (personnel, physical and information technology). Bob has also provided operational leadership in investigating and analyzing the full range of threats to the security of Canada, which included leading the CSIS Counter Terrorism program.
Bob is a member of the Board of Directors for Quantum Safe Canada, a member of the Advisory Council on the Modernization of Microdata Access with Statistics Canada, and the Advisory Board for the Master of Cybersecurity and Threat Intelligence program with the University of Guelph.
Bobby Singh serves as both CISO & CTO for the TMX Group, a Canadian financial services company that presides over the Toronto Stock Exchange, Montreal Stock Exchange, Trayport (UK), and the TSX Venture Exchange. In this role, he directs his 25-plus years of experience in information security and risk management to deliver secure and highly available technology services across TMX. As a member of the company’s executive leadership team, Bobby is dedicated to defining TMX’s cybersecurity and technology vision and strategy to advance its organizational agenda. In addition to his executive security and technological functions at TMX, Bobby also serves as the company’s ambassador at key forums focused on cybersecurity, critical infrastructure, network evolution, innovation, data analytics, and blockchain. He is a respected presenter on these topics and is frequently invited to contribute to executive roundtables and cyber thinktanks. Bobby currently sits on the Board of Directors at multiple organizations. He received his MBA from the University of Pittsburgh and holds CISSP, CISM, CISA and CPA designations.
Franca Palazzo brings over 20 years of expertise in delivering tailored program development strategies that propel organizations to success. She is an articulate speaker and savvy strategist, leveraging in-depth understanding of communication with mixed audiences to effectively translate ideas into results across domestic and international markets. She excels at building client, stakeholder and high profile industry relationships.
Before becoming Executive Director of the ISCC, Franca was a Board Director and volunteered on the Program Development Committee. Other roles included Partnership and Engagement Lead for the Commonwealth Association for Public Administration and Management where she identified funders and partners for the programs and events put on by CAPAM. Prior to that she worked as Program Manager, Research, for the Institute on Governance where she identified and managed activities that supported the Institute’s research programmes. Before moving to Ottawa she was Vice president, Business Relations for an arbitration centre in Toronto. She has also worked as a consultant to the legal and medical industries, building relationships between professionals, associations and educators.
Franca holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from McMaster University. She sits on the board of Women in Communications and Technology and is Director of Sponsorship.
