Please join us from 6:00-7:30pm on the evening of April 23rd at 165 University Avenue for a discussion on the challenges of Maritime Piracy. Lieutenant Commander Scott Robinson will discuss his experiences from his many tours at sea, ranging from counter-drug operations in the Caribbean to sovereignty patrols in the Arctic and anti-piracy deployments off the Horn of Africa. The event will begin by serving coffee & cookies and will be followed by a reception including wine and hors d’oeuvres.
Speaker Biography:
Lieutenant Commander Scott Robinson is currently attending the Joint Command and Staff Course at CFC and recently returned from his latest tour at sea when the Halifax-based frigate he was employed in participated in a wide range of operations quite representative of the type of activities the Royal Canadian Navy discharges at home and abroad. Commander Robinson is a young and dynamic speaker whose experience at seas and wider background would allow him to share a unique perspective to those interested in the security of our maritime borders.
