We’re back!
Watch as I interview Bushra Nassab, President of the Association of Political Science Students at the University of Toronto. Bushra is currently completing an Honours B.A. in Peace, Conflict, and Justice Studies with a minor in Political Science with high distinction. Bushra discusses the consequences of conflict, peace and reconciliation strategies, and the development of justice in past and current war-torn countries. In addition, Bushra examines transitional justice. As an intern at the Senate of Canada and Chair of the Peace, Conflict and Justice Annual Conference, Bushra provides advice to the youth interested in getting involved.

Episode XVII Part I: NATO ASSOCIATION OF CANADA
Next, Bushra discusses major concerns pertaining to the communication of international relations and affairs. In addition, she discusses her previous role as the Co-Director of the University College Student Refugee Program, her previous role as the Director of External Affairs at the University of Toronto Refugee Alliance, and her previous position as the Director of Mentorship at the University of Toronto.
Magdalena Surma is currently Canada's NATO Program Contributor and Outreach Coordinator. Former Program Editor of Global Horizons, Magdalena completed a BA in Legal Studies (Honours) and a Masters in Public Service at the University of Waterloo. She also attended Harvard during two summers, where she completed courses in psychology, government, and law. In addition, she successfully completed Harvard Law School’s Executive Education Program in Negotiation and Leadership. Magdalena is currently completing an LLB through University of London’s International Program. She is passionate about law, government, and charitable non-profit organizations. As an avid researcher, she hopes to extend her research to investigate women in security while examining society, culture, and international relations. In addition, Magdalena is also passionate about international business and economy. She is very excited about being involved with various projects at NATO, specifically engaging youth and society about international affairs. Apart from a love of politics, Magdalena enjoys fine art, ballet, and classical music.
