Baichao Chen is a Junior Research Fellow with the NATO Association of Canada's Indo-Pacific and NATO program. He is in his final session of undergraduate studies at Concordia University majoring in political science. He is also an analyst at the Canadian Centre for Strategic Studies. His research focuses on International relations, with a particular interest in Cross-Strait relations between the Chinese mainland and Taiwan. Baichao possesses a background in the private sector, specifically the Saas tech industry. He has authored political analysis in various journals, such as Modern Diplomacy, and been interviewed in French-language podcast "Ma Radio Académia". He is trilingual in French, English, and Chinese.
