Round Table Discussion

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 2016

6:15 pm – 8:00 pm

In response to the Syrian civil war, The Canadian Government has committed to accepting and settling 25,000 refugees by the end of February 2016.

Canadian Forces Senior Public Affairs Officer, Major Lena Angell was deployed to Lebanon from November 2015 to January 2016, where she was tasked with keeping Canadians connected with the reality on the ground and the process of resettling the refugees in support of the multi-agency operation.

Major Angell will deliver a presentation on lessons learned managing communications for Canada’s largest humanitarian mission.
