Talk to a Diplomat: Interview with the Consul General of Poland in Vancouver Mr. Krzysztof Olendzki Part I

Listen as I interview the Consul General of Poland in Vancouver, Mr. Krzysztof Olendzki. He served as a former Under Secretary of State in the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage from 2006 to 2007 and Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Tunisia from 2008 to 2012. Mr. Krzysztof Olendzki began his mission as Poland’s Consul General in Vancouver on September 22, 2014. He successfully completed a PhD in historical science and from 1992 to 2008, Mr. Krzysztof Olendzki held the position of an assistant professor at the Warsaw School of Economics. From 1999 to 2001, he was Deputy Director of the Polish Cultural Institute in Rome. Then he worked in the Department of Policy Planning from 2001 to 2004. He also served as Deputy Director or Director of the following departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Promotion from 2007 to 2008, Africa and the Middle East from 2012 to 2013 and Bureau of Infrastructure from 2013 to 2014. He was appointed Titular Ambassador in 2011. He was also awarded the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta.

On Wednesday March 9th, the NATO Economy Forum on Mining and Infrastructure will take place in Toronto. The Economy Forum came to life as a response to NATO’s interest in economic development and security. The NATO Council strives to help realize this goal by increasing economic trade among NATO Allies and partner countries. This conference will offer ample opportunity for Canadian businesses to participate in some very valuable B2B and G2G meetings with foreign business and government representatives. The point of the Forum is to increase Canadian trade and investment with the participating countries.
