Ying Li graduated from McGill University in 2014 with a B.A. in International Development studies with a focus on Developmental Economics. Through her studies and working experience, Ying has developed an interest in how economics affects and intersects with other aspects of society, such as culture, politics, health, foreign policy and vice versa. Prior to her start at the NATO Association of Canada, Ying has completed internships with the US Commercial Service at the Consulate General of the United States in Montreal and the Foreign Policy and Diplomatic Service with the Consulate General of Canada in Detroit, MI. Along with her internship experience, Ying is an experienced First Responder and first aid instructor with the Canadian Red Cross and enjoys the opportunity it gives her to work directly with her community. With her academic background rooted in economics and an interest in community development and livelihood outcomes, Ying hopes to pursue a Masters in Economics and Public Policy in the near future.
