Shermineh Salehi Esmati is a graduate from the University of Toronto. She holds an Honors BA Specializing in Political Science and History with a focus on International Affairs. Her most recent experience researching was for the International Center on Human Rights as an Executive Assistant and Development Officer, editing journal articles (Huffington Post, Globe and Mail) and writing communication letters to Canadian Diplomats for the protection of Iranian human rights. As well, Shermineh is a member of Amnesty International’s ‘Iran Action Circle’ where she provides minutes and strategies to improve public awareness. All the more, she has worked in Canadian Politics since the age of seventeen and as a child of the Iranian Revolution she has never shied away from activist roles.
