Daniel Sun is a Program Editor with the NATO Association of Canada’s Indo-Pacific and NATO portfolio. He is an undergraduate student pursuing a Joint Honours BA in Political Science and History at McGill University, with a research focus on Indo-Pacific security, specializing in Chinese foreign and domestic policy and East Asian geopolitics. Daniel has published analyses of the evolving security dynamics in East Asia, particularly on the People’s Liberation Army and the changing strategic relationship between the United States and China. His broader research interests cover Chinese security policy, great-power competition, and the historical forces that shape the modern-day Indo-Pacific. He has also worked in Canadian politics and law, including with a Member of Parliament and in several legal research internships. He is bilingual in English and Chinese.
