Miranda Lalla is a Canadian-Italian jurist, currently pursuing an Advanced Master of Laws (Adv. LL.M.) in Public International Law at Leiden University in the Hague. A Montreal native, she obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B., ‘Cheminement International’) from l’Université de Montréal, and gained exposure to emerging sectors of security law on academic exchange at l’Università degli Studi di Milano. This introduction to comparative law led her to Capitol Hill in Washington D.C., where she furnished legal analysis to members of congress upon request at the Law Library of Congress. Through her studies, she aims to contribute to the field of international security and acts as International Editor of the Cambridge Law Review and Assistant Editor of the Leiden Journal of International Law. Miranda’s knowledge of international institutions and treaty law will help her contribute to the public information goals of the NATO Association of Canada.
