Cassidy Bereskin is a Political Science student at McMaster University and a Digital Democracy Research Assistant to Dr. Netina Tan, an expert on electoral integrity in Southeast Asia. Cassidy’s research interests include disinformation campaigns and computational propaganda, Internet regulation, and social media & democracy. She also serves as a Research Consultant at the United Nations Major Group for Children and Youth and manages a civic engagement non-profit organization called Model City Hall. For her work, Cassidy has been featured in TMX Group’s Canada’s Next 150 and as a Global ChangeMaker by the UK-based NGO We Make Change.
