Şerif Sav is a Junior Research Fellow with the Security, Trade, and Economy Program at the NATO Association of Canada. He is currently completing a double major in International Relations and Psychology at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver. A graduate of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), Şerif’s academic interests focus on foreign policy analysis, trade security, Eurasian geopolitics, and NATO’s role in contemporary global affairs.
At UBC, he serves as the Program Assistant for Slavic Studies, where he supports multilingual initiatives and community engagement across Eastern European and Eurasian cultures. Şerif is also the Vice President External of both the Turkish Student Association and the Ukrainian Student Union, and the Corporate Relations Coordinator for eProjects, where he fosters partnerships between students and industry leaders.
Beyond academics, Şerif played for the Turkish National Water Polo Team and currently serves as Vice President of the UBC Water Polo Club, where he also helps lead team development and international tournament planning.
Şerif has published research through the Foreign Policy Institute and Essydo Politics, focusing on democratic resilience, strategic trade, and regional security. He is set to participate in the 2025 NATO Field School and Simulation Program and aspires to a career in multilateral diplomacy, economic policy, and international institutional development.
