Alexandre Delafosse

Alexandre is a third-year student at the University of Toronto and is pursuing a double major in Peace, Conflict and Justice and Political Science, with a minor in Human Geography. Alexandre is of both French and Ivorian background and brings a multicultural lens to global issues, informed by his upbringing in Côte d’Ivoire and his academic focus on post-colonial and post-conflict development.

Alexandre’s interests center on global security, peacebuilding, and governance reform in fragile and transitioning states. He is currently supporting a UNHCR project in Chad, analyzing educational outcomes among refugee populations, and is the incoming Co-President of the UNICEF UofT chapter, where he leads student initiatives focused on child rights. Previously, he conducted fieldwork in Kenya on education policy and its developmental impact.

As an intern with the NATO Association of Canada, Alexandre looks forward to contributing to dialogue on international security and diplomacy, with a particular interest in how multilateral institutions can advance equitable and sustainable governance in crisis-affected regions.
