“Does NATO Belong in Asia? Canada, China and America’s ‘Pivot’ to

the Asia-Pacific”

Monday, November 4, 2013 − Dominion of Canada General Insurance Building – 165 University Avenue, Toronto

_________________________________________________________________________________

As  global power centres continue their eastward shift, NATO looks increasingly adrift in its transatlantic orientation. The alliance is turning towards the burgeoning  Asia-Pacific region, but the implications of this shift are fraught with uncertainty.  Join the NATO Council of Canada for a discussion with expert James Manicom of  the CIGI, who will be speaking on the topic of  NATO’s engagement with regional players in the Asia-Pacific, and what this means for the organization’s future.
