When the US entered Iraq in 2003, they had fewer than 100 UAVs; by 2009, they had over 7,000. Since then, drones have taken their place as a central feature of American military strategy. The use of robots on the battlefield is a rapidly growing trend that is expected to reshape the future of warfare as we know it!Come join us for a discussion of how robotics has changed modern warfare and what the future holds for this emerging technology. Drawing on his experiences with governments and organizations abroad, Charles Barlow, President of Zariba Security will touch on some of the tactical, moral and legal controversies surrounding the use of robots in war.
