Lana Kharlip is a global partnerships, international relations, and higher education leader with more than 15 years of experience advancing strategic engagement across academia, government, diplomacy, multilateral organizations, and the private sector. Throughout her career, she has built and managed international partnerships, led high-profile delegations and conferences, and developed initiatives that strengthen international cooperation, institutional growth, and public diplomacy.
Lana currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of the NATO Association of Canada, where she has held several leadership roles, including Interim Executive Director, Vice-President, and Chair of the Programs Committee. She has played a key role in the development and delivery of national and international programming, stakeholder engagement initiatives, policy forums, and conferences that bring together government officials, military leaders, diplomats, academics, and emerging leaders from across the Euro-Atlantic community.
Earlier in her career, Lana served as Executive Director of both the NATO Association of Canada and the Canadian Turkish Business Council, where she led international partnership development, trade missions, diplomatic engagement initiatives, and multinational conferences. She also served with the NATO Information Office in Moscow, supporting NATO-Russia cooperation programs, international delegations, and policy engagement activities across the Russian Federation and at NATO Headquarters in Brussels.
In higher education, Lana held the role of Assistant Director of the Hennick Centre for Business and Law at York University, where she expanded partnerships with organizations including NATO, the OECD, the World Bank Group, and leading international universities. She currently serves as Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of UDocs Media, an accredited continuing professional education platform.
Lana holds a Master of Public Administration from Carleton University and Honours degrees in International Relations and French Studies from York University. She is trilingual in English, French, and Russian and remains committed to strengthening international dialogue, transatlantic cooperation, and global engagement.
