Ottawa Conference: NATO and the Fight Against Radicalization and Terrorism


 

On Wednesday, October 25, 2017, the NATO Association of Canada was pleased to present “NATO: Countering Radicalization and Terror,” a panel aimed to facilitate an exchange of ideas regarding the ongoing threat of terrorism. It was sponsored by the British High Commission in Ottawa and the Trisha A. Langley Estate.

 

The panel featured a keynote by Gen. (Ret’d) Raymond Henault, followed by a discussion moderated by Robert Fife. Lt. Gen. (Ret’d) D. Michael Day, Sen. Vernon White, Richard Cohen, and Phil Gurski examined the causes of the radicalization of terrorism, as well as ways to combat terrorism through the military.
