Alishba Noman

Alishba Noman is currently a second-year student at the University of Toronto Scarborough pursuing an Accounting Specialist in Management. In her role as an Event Coordinator at the NATO Association of Canada, she aims to facilitate meaningful dialogue by planning and executing events that align with NATO’s mission and objectives. Her experience ranges from leading public speaking initiatives to managing logistics for high-impact events.
As a former president of her A-levels’ Public Speaking Society, Alishba successfully organized and chaired a Model United Nations (MUN) conference with over 500 delegates. At the University of Toronto Scarborough, she has been a delegate trainer, creating study guides and engaging with diplomatic representatives while coordinating networking events at the Association of Accountancy. By studying and serving as a TA for Economics, she developed an interest in economic principles, particularly their application to sustainability and developing policies that support marginalized communities with wanting to continue aligning that with events at the NATO Association of Canada.

    As a leading member of the Atlantic Treaty Association (ATA), NATO Association of Canada has strong and enduring ties with sister organizations in many of the alliance countries, as well as members of NATO’s “Partnership for Peace” and “Mediterranean Dialogue” programmes. The NAOC has had a leading role in the recent transformation and modernization of the ATA, and helped to create and develop the Youth Atlantic Treaty Association (YATA).

    The NAOC has strong ties with the Government of Canada including Global Affairs Canada and the Department of National Defence. We are constantly working to create and maintain relationships with international organizations such as the World Bank Group, the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development, NATO Headquarters, the International Criminal Court, and other prominent international NGOs and think tanks.
