Yuliia Koba

Yuliia Koba is a Senior Program Officer with Peace and Stabilization Operations Program at Global Affairs Canada

Yuliia is a dedicated international assistance officer with 15 years of experience within the Government of Canada. For over 12 years Yuliia worked at the Canadian Embassy in Kyiv with the political, trade and development programs, covering a variety of files – from education marketing and la Francophonie to gender equality and women’s empowerment, inclusive governance, humanitarian assistance, and peace and security.

In 2022, Yuliia transitioned to Ottawa to join the Peace and Stabilization Operations Program (PSOPs) within Global Affairs Canada. In her current capacity as a PSOPs Senior Program Officer, she continues to oversee a portfolio of international assistance projects in Ukraine in the areas of Women, Peace and Security, conflict sensitivity, and humanitarian demining.

    As a leading member of the Atlantic Treaty Association (ATA), NATO Association of Canada has strong and enduring ties with sister organizations in many of the alliance countries, as well as members of NATO’s “Partnership for Peace” and “Mediterranean Dialogue” programmes. The NAOC has had a leading role in the recent transformation and modernization of the ATA, and helped to create and develop the Youth Atlantic Treaty Association (YATA).

    The NAOC has strong ties with the Government of Canada including Global Affairs Canada and the Department of National Defence. We are constantly working to create and maintain relationships with international organizations such as the World Bank Group, the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development, NATO Headquarters, the International Criminal Court, and other prominent international NGOs and think tanks.
