Pistriuha, Head of the NGO Ukrainian Deminers Association (UDA). More recently,
under the management and control of Mr. Pistriuha has already successfully
implemented nearly 40 humanitarian mine action projects in Ukraine,
that cover 3 pillars of mine action: Humanitarian Demining, Explosive Ordnance
Risk Education, and Mine Victim Assistance. It should be noted, a big number of
these projects have been managed by him since Full-Scale Russian War against
Ukraine started. He established UDA from scratch and currently UDA is the
biggest mine action Ukrainian organization. Currently, UDA partners are OCHA,
Mines Advisory Group, Save the Children, International Rescue Committee, Canada
Ukraine Foundation, InterSos, FSD and others.
Mr.
Pistriuha is a retired Ukrainian officer, rank – “Lieutenant Colonel”, war
veteran. He had a Master’s Degree in “Management in International Relations”
(with distinction) and in Military Tactical and Operational Studies (with
distinction).
