Montreal Roundtable – “The Baltic States: Securing The Sovereignty


Since the annexation of Crimea in March by Russian President Vladimir Putin, the territorial integrity of former Sovietstates in the Baltic has been put into question.

With sizeable ethnic Russian minorities inhabiting Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, should NATO reconsider their position and allocate more resources to ensure their sovereignty?

Are the Baltic nations worth going to war to protect?

    The NAOC has strong ties with the Government of Canada including Global Affairs Canada and the Department of National Defence. We are constantly working to create and maintain relationships with international organizations such as the World Bank Group, the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development, NATO Headquarters, the International Criminal Court, and other prominent international NGOs and think tanks.
