Annabelle Farley

Annabelle Farley holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in History with a Minor in French Literature from the University of Ottawa. She has recently published a research article with the University of Ottawa’s history journal. Bilingual in French and English, she brings strong leadership, public speaking, and strategic communication skills to her work. She is a Leadership Instructor with the Canadian Armed Forces. In this role, she has trained non-commissioned members and junior officers to operational standards, contributing notably to the Armoured Troop Leader course at the Royal Canadian Armoured Corps School. Her excellence in instruction has been recognized with a letter of commendation, a Commander’s Coin, and the King Charles III Coronation Medal in 2024 for her service to Canada and her community. Annabelle has previously served as President of the Mess Committee, where she led initiatives to enhance collaboration between military and civilian stakeholders and to strengthen community engagement within the institution. She is passionate about public service, education, and building resilient communities both nationally and internationally.

Annabelle Farley est titulaire d’un baccalauréat spécialisé en histoire avec une mineure en littérature française de l’Université d’Ottawa. Elle a récemment publié un article de recherche dans la revue d’histoire de l’Université d’Ottawa. Bilingue en français et en anglais, elle met à profit ses compétences en leadership, en communication publique et en stratégie organisationnelle. Elle est instructrice en leadership au sein des Forces armées canadiennes. À ce titre, elle a formé des militaires du rang et des officiers subalternes aux standards opérationnels, contribuant notamment au cours de chef de troupe blindée à l’École du Corps blindé royal canadien. Son excellence en instruction a été reconnue par une lettre de reconnaissance, une pièce du commandant et la Médaille du couronnement du roi Charles III en 2024 pour son service envers le Canada et sa communauté. Annabelle a également été présidente du comité du mess, dirigeant des initiatives pour renforcer la collaboration entre les acteurs militaires et civiles afin de promouvoir l’engagement communautaire au sein de l’institution. Elle est passionnée par le service public, l’éducation et le développement de communautés résilientes au Canada et à l’international.

The NAOC has had a leading role in the recent transformation and modernization of the ATA, and helped to create and develop the Youth Atlantic Treaty Association (YATA).

    The NAOC has strong ties with the Government of Canada including Global Affairs Canada and the Department of National Defence. We are constantly working to create and maintain relationships with international organizations such as the World Bank Group, the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development, NATO Headquarters, the International Criminal Court, and other prominent international NGOs and think tanks.
