Farzin Bakhtiar is an incoming fourth year International Relations and Political Science student at the University of Toronto – St. George, pursuing an Honours Bachelor of Arts. She is currently a Summer Intern at NAOC, with previous experience as a UN Intern from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka, Bangladesh and WIT (Whatever It Takes) Marketing Firm. WIT Marketing focuses on direct marketing for NGOs and charities, such as World Vision and the Canadian Red Cross, to raise donations and satisfy clients. Working as a liaison between the firm and international NGOs, her role entailed pitching and closing deals.
Beyond politics, she is currently the VP of Communications for World Vision, and the Vice-President and Internal Executive for Borderless, two clubs at UofT. World Vision is a humanitarian aid and advocacy organization, while Borderless centres around raising awareness and funds for underreported refugee crises around the world. In her spare time, Farzin enjoys being active, traveling, and is an avid follower of the Toronto Raptors.
