Larissa Pereira is a fourth-year student at the University of Toronto pursuing an International Affairs Specialist, Economics Major, and an Italian Minor. As a Brazilian-Canadian, she speaks English and Portuguese and is currently learning Spanish and Italian. After working as a teaching assistant and resident worker at the University of Toronto, this passion for education led to her working as a research assistant for Professor Philip Oreopoulos, studying the positive effects of Khan Academy on branching education inequality and assisting in designing a public school tutoring system. Larissa is now excited to work with the NATO Association of Canada and discuss education, equality, and women in security.
