On September 27, 2017 Honourable Hugh Segal along with the NATO Association of Canada had the great pleasure of hosting Ambassador Tacan Ildem, the Assistant Secretary General for Public Diplomacy at NATO Headquarters, at the Chateau Laurier in Ottawa. Senators, Members of Parliament, and business executives joined us in welcoming Ambassador Ildem. We had the pleasure of hearing Hon. Hugh Segal, Robert Baines, President of NAOC, and Ambassador Ildem speak on the importance of NATO and its’ current initiatives. Ambassador Ildem highlighted the importance of youth learning about security and spoke about the #WeAreNATO campaign, set to launch in five NATO member countries, including Canada.
We were thrilled to honour Ambassador Ildem’s visit and celebrate the importance of transalantic bonds and security!
