The NATO Association of Canada presents “NATO: Countering Radicalization and Terrorism.” Terrorism was highlighted as a major component of NATO’s future engagement at the last NATO meeting by U.S. President Donald J. Trump. This conference aims to examine both the home-grown radicalization aspect of terrorism as well as the operational and tactical aspects of combatting terrorists in military engagements.
The event will begin with a key note by Gen (Ret’d) Raymond Henault, followed by a moderated discussion by the distinguished panelists Senator Vernon White, Lt. Gen. (Ret’d) Michael Day, Richard Cohen, and Phil Gurski. As we hope the event will stimulate and encourage dialogue on the topic of counter-terrorism, attendees are encouraged to bring their questions to the panelists after the moderated discussion.
