On Wednesday, November 22, 2017, the NATO Association of Canada had the pleasure of launching a new publication: ‘Canadian Defence at 150 and Beyond’ at Queen’s Park.
The Honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell spoke about the importance of security in Canada and highlighted the contributions of NATO in maintaining transatlantic peace. President and CEO of the NATO Association of Canada, Robert Baines, was pleased to present Her Honour with a copy of the publication and referred to the importance of educating young minds on the value of multilateral organizations.
Parliamentary Assistant and Member of Provincial Parliament, Dr. Shafiq Qaadri, joined our celebration and congratulated the association on being awarded a multiculturalism grant by the Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration. Directors from the NATO Association of the Canada, interns, and distinguished guests enjoyed fine wine and lovely snacks as they took part in mindful discussion and exchanged ideas!
