Samir Mourani holds a Specialized Honours in Global Political Studies from York University. He has been involved with a number of different organizations, including Amnesty International and the Mosaic Institute. Samir also founded ‘RefugeAid’ in 2012, a non-profit project that raises funds and awareness for refugees, migrants, and asylum seekers. The project works in collaboration with Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). Research interests include the Middle East, refugee rights, and peace and conflict studies.
