Kevin Hempstead

Kevin Hempstead is a graduate of the University of Toronto, where he majored in History and Political Science, as well as a graduate of the London School of Economics, where he specialized in the Theory and History of International Relations. Currently, Kevin is working within trade and commercial affairs at the U.S. Consulate in Toronto, and desires to eventually relocate to Ottawa or Washington to work within policy for either government or think tanks. Outside of work, Kevin is a coordinator for the Ontario Council for International Cooperation’s Development Drinks committee, organizing networking events for Toronto’s development and NGO community.     Jelena Djuric is Program Editor of Canada’s NATO division at the Atlantic Council of Canada. She is currently pursuing a degree in peace, conflict and justice studies at the University of Toronto. She was previously an intern with the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in the Hague, where she assisted the defense. Additionally, she has extensive research experience with organizations including the Canadian International Council, the G20 Research Group and the Canadian Centre for the Responsibility to Protect. Her research interests include human rights security, international humanitarian law and conflict resolution.
