Ian Pelekis

Ian Pelekis is currently the Director of Research and Strategic Projects at the Canadian Center of Strategic Studies. He simultaneously works as a policy analyst at the Treasury Board Secretariat of Canada. Ian’s academic research focuses on strategic studies and the effects of technology on conflict. This has led him to write on topics ranging from modern occupation methods, the conditions to develop blue-water navies, to the effects of advanced nuclear delivery systems on systemic stability. Recognizing these accomplishments, he was awarded the Zeitan Family Scholarship in 2016 and resides on the Concordia Dean’s list of 2015-2016.
