Benjamin Patterson

Benjamin Patterson is the co-founder of both the Youth Atlantic Treaty Association, a network to advocate NATO values to youth. The network has grown across Canada and was named as a priority for assisting NATO outreach by the incoming president of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in her inaugural speech. He is also the co founder of the Voice of Ituri, a journalist assistance NGO that operated to help small journalists report ongoing conflicts in Democratic Republic of Congo’s eastern provinces, gaining mention by the UN radio in the country and developing a following of over 100,000 community members for their sponsored journalists. He has also acted as a consultant to NATO Public Diplomacy and the Atlantic Treaty Association International on NATO publicity efforts in Canada. He has published papers previously on hypersonic weaponry and regime instability in Kyrgyzstan. He is now a Research Analyst at the NATO Association of Canada.
