Irma Shaboian is a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier, obtaining an Honours Health Sciences degree with chemistry and biology minors. As an undergraduate, she interned for the Centre for Community, Research, Learning, and Action, and a volunteered at an AIDS service organization, where she explored the intersection of science and community. Irma had the opportunity to combine empirical research with practical experience, which led to an appreciation of the relationship that exists between science and policy.

As an intern with the NAOC, she hopes to translate her previous knowledge and skills to a new arena and hone new ones.
