Tomasz Pogorzelski

Tomasz Pogorzelski is a bilingual healthcare operations and transformation executive with 20+ years of experience leading operational excellence, strategic enablement, analytics, and cross-functional execution across regulated, public, private, and growth-stage environments. He has held senior leadership roles in a Fortune 9 healthcare organization, a crown corporation, founder-led businesses, and community-based organizations, with a consistent focus on translating strategy into disciplined execution systems.

Tomasz leads Opsidian Exec, where he serves as a fractional executive and strategic advisor to healthcare, medtech, technology, and services organizations. His mandates include VP Operations and interim COO work focused on optimizing digital and physical assets.

Previously, Tomasz served in progressive leadership roles at McKesson Canada across Biopharma and Provider Solutions, Retail Solutions, Global Retail Innovation, Pharmaceutical Distribution, and Public Affairs. He led a 50-person distributed shared services organization across PMO, Analytics, Process Improvement, and Training, supporting $1B+ in healthcare delivery. His teams delivered measurable improvements in cost-to-serve, operational visibility, analytics output, service reliability, employee engagement, and manager effectiveness. Earlier in his career, Tomasz supported international business development and financial modeling at the Société des alcools du Québec and led the launch of a publicly funded social pediatrics initiative with Fondation du Dr Julien. He also founded, scaled, and exited a performing arts services business.

Beyond his corporate work, Tomasz has held governance and board leadership roles with the NATO Association of Canada, the Polish Scouting Association, CAMMAC, and the Polish School John Paul II. He holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from HEC Montréal, a B.Sc. in Exercise Science from Concordia University, and board governance certificate from the Réseau des Jeunes Administrateurs.

The NAOC has had a leading role in the recent transformation and modernization of the ATA, and helped to create and develop the Youth Atlantic Treaty Association (YATA).

    The NAOC has strong ties with the Government of Canada including Global Affairs Canada and the Department of National Defence. We are constantly working to create and maintain relationships with international organizations such as the World Bank Group, the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development, NATO Headquarters, the International Criminal Court, and other prominent international NGOs and think tanks.
