Sofia is a recent graduate of McGill University, where she completed a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Political Science and English Literature, with a focus on international human rights law, multilateral institutions, and Canadian politics. During her undergraduate studies, Sofia interned with UNHCR in Ecuador, where she co-developed a jurisprudential guide on human mobility with Ecuador’s Constitutional Court, and completed a supervised research paper on the socialization of the non-refoulement principle in Ecuador. She also served as a delegate with McGill Women in House, engaging in discussions on gender, leadership, and public policy, and contributed to the McGill International Review as a writer, producing original policy analysis on international affairs for public audiences. Through these academic and extracurricular experiences, Sofia developed strong skills in research, institutional writing, cross-cultural communication, and policy analysis.
Sofia is trilingual in English, French, and Spanish, and is drawn to work that bridges rigorous policy analysis with public engagement. Outside of work and studies, Sofia is a varsity rower, an avid reader with a love for art history, and is passionate about Latin American politics and human rights
