Johnnie Vu has been with RBC for over 15 years. He is currently the National Director, Business Advisor Enablement where he leads a national team of Regional Enablement Coaches supporting Commercial and Business Banking. His team’s role is to embed, enable and sustain regional and national strategic initiatives. Previously he held multiple roles across Wealth Management, Personal Banking and Commercial Banking such as Community Market Manager, Senior Commercial Relationship Manager, Branch Manager, Financial Advisor and Wealth Management Associate at RBC Dominion Securities. He also has previous experience working at a Fortune 100 company in corporate development, M&A and treasury services.
In his daily life he is a Lieutenant in the Canadian Armed Forces and is the Commanding Officer of 709 Toronto Signals. He is actively involved with the community and currently sits on the board of the Greater Toronto Scouts Foundation, NATO Association of Canada and is appointed as an Aide de Camp for 30th Lieutenant Governor of Ontario Edith Dumont. Johnnie was also a former Executive with Ascend Canada and is the Co-Founder and current Co-Chair of the RBC Asian Professional Network.
Johnnie has been awarded multiple RBC Annual Royal Performance Awards, the Canadian Decoration Medal, the Royal Canadian Legion Medal of Excellence, and the RBC Global Citizen Award for his outstanding contributions to the community. He was recognized as Canada’s Top Emerging Leader in Finance Under 40 by the Peak. Johnnie holds an MBA and Certificate in Corporate Social Responsibility from The Smith School of Business, Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Commerce from the John Molson School of Business, Concordia University and completed Ascend Canada’s Executive Insight Series and RBC’s Social Impact Leadership Program.
