Arman Golshani is an undergraduate student pursuing an Honours BA in Economics at York University, with plans to build a career in public policy, geopolitics, and international relations. His academic interests centre on how ideas, institutions, and strategic messaging influence public opinion and political outcomes, while his studies in economics have strengthened his understanding of the incentives and constraints shaping global affairs. His work on Nazi propaganda in the Middle East and North Africa earned him a Western Libraries Undergraduate Research Award, motivating him to further study how narratives are constructed and instrumentalized in both historical and contemporary contexts. As Program Editor for the NATO Association of Canada’s Centre for Disinformation Studies, he draws on his editorial experience across history, law, and public policy to contribute research and analysis on disinformation and its broader implications.

As a leading member of the Atlantic Treaty Association (ATA), NATO Association of Canada has strong and enduring ties with sister organizations in many of the alliance countries, as well as members of NATO’s “Partnership for Peace” and “Mediterranean Dialogue” programmes. The NAOC has had a leading role in the recent transformation and modernization of the ATA, and helped to create and develop the Youth Atlantic Treaty Association (YATA).
The NAOC has strong ties with the Government of Canada including Global Affairs Canada and the Department of National Defence. We are constantly working to create and maintain relationships with international organizations such as the World Bank Group, the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development, NATO Headquarters, the International Criminal Court, and other prominent international NGOs and think tanks.
