| SAMANTHA FRIEDLAND

Samantha Friedland is the Program Editor for Cyber Security and Emerging Threats, and Project Manager for the NATO Field School Series. She completed her undergraduate degree in Political Science at Simon Fraser University and is pursuing her master’s degree at Carleton University. 

Samantha’s research interests include cyber security, geopolitics, terrorism, extremism, intelligence, defence, and national security. She previously participated in the Canada-NATO Field School where she attended briefings at NATO HQ in Brussels, the European External Action Service, and took part in a crisis simulation and mediation exercise at the NATO War College in Rome. She represented the Canadian team at the NATO 2030 Policy Hackathon and currently is employed by Public Safety Canada.

Samantha is based in Ottawa and enjoys traveling and hiking in her spare time.
