We’re back!
The Mackenzie Institute organized Canada’s Defence Perspectives 2020-2050: Recapitalization and the Canadian Forces Conference in partnership with the NATO Association of Canada and the National Defence. The Mackenzie Institute is an independent think tank that provides a strategic approach to domestic and national security matters. This conference took place on Tuesday March 29th and Wednesday March 30th in Ottawa. An assessment of global threats, Canadian foreign policy and defence strategy, and a special discussion about the military and social benefits of a strong Canadian Reserve took place on the first day. This was then followed by a discussion about advanced technology, new domains and the future of warfare along with a discussion about stimulating disruptive technology through Canadian public procurement. The final panel discussed ways of improving Canada’s defence procurement strategy in the 21st century.
