Kelly Stephens is a Research Analyst with the NATO Association of Canada, specializing in the Middle East and North Africa. She also serves as Program Editor of the Expanding Community Program at the NCC. She holds an Honours Bachelors Degree from McGill University in Montreal, majoring in International Development Studies. She has spent a great deal of time abroad, including a summer spent studying Arabic at the American University in Cairo and a recent 6 month stay in India. Her research interests include the political economy of oil, Islamic movements and the politics of aid.
